December 1999

December 1999

The last month of the Millenium is undoubtedly a time for reflections, both forwards and backwards for everybody, and gardeners are more aware than most of the passing seasons and years. I’ll be talking a bit more about that in the last article of this last Journal of 1999. The Garden Action Items has deliberately been omitted this month as everyone is busy with Holiday celebrations – who needs more work? There’ll be time to catch up in January, and plenty more to do! Our Plant Feature highlights a traditional favourite seasonal plant – mistletoe – it just wouldn’t be Christmas without it. David Tarrant is off for his traditional holiday in Hawaii, but did find time in his busy schedule to write a short note on the December garden. Make sure to join him on Canadian Gardener as they travel to Hawaii with him this year, and treat yourself to a vicarious vacation.
